Gulf-Tech Automation is based in the UAE with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and is active in the field of industrial automation. The Company's main expertise are YASKAWA Inverter Drives as well as VIPA PLC Systems for all kinds of industrial applications all over the GCC countries.
This position is for an experienced Electrical engineer to perform work as a part of an advanced industrial automation team with a strong background in electronics. This position will require a minimum of 4 years experience in field of industrial automation and expert knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (low voltage) as well as PLCs (especially SIEMENS Step 7 programming) and Panel Building Skills (Electrical Drawings, Selection of Components) in order to be able to provide strong automation solutions to our clients.
Major Functions and key responsibilities:
As a VFD & PLC Commissioning Engineer and a crucial part of the team you will be responsible for:
• Executing PLC & VFD Commissioning Works on site autonomous or together with the client
• Technically supporting clients on site, over the phone or via E-Mail (troubleshooting)
• Programming and composing PLC & VFD programs as per the clients requirements (in SIEMENS Step 7)
• Designing and building electrical panels and integrating our products accordingly including selection of suitable items
Minimum job requirements:
• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, plus a minimum of four years' experience in the automation industry or other related industries in the market working with VFDs and PLCs
• Excellent communication skill with customer-oriented approach
• Knowledge in SIEMENS Step 7 programming as well as at least one communications protocol (. DeviceNet, Profibus, Profinet etc.)
• Panel / Electrical Drawing Skills (EPlan, Autocad etc.)
• Great ability to work independently with high level of motivation
• UAE drivers license (is an advantage)
• IMMEDIATE START REQUIRED
