To manage Financial Control Department activities such as managing the monthly close and the quality of the data captured, management of the Fixed Assets, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger and Financial systems in order to ensure reliable and efficient financial control support is provided to the organization. Make sure that Finance Policies and Procedure are up to date.

Financial Control and Reporting

• Manage the month end close process, and any other monthly activities (such as reviewing the Trial Balance) ensuring accuracy and timeliness of completion

• Coordinate preparation of any other financial reporting required for other ENEC stakeholders in order to inform decision making and forward planning

Policies and Procedures

• Develop and implement finance policies and procedures in order to ensure all team members are aligned to the same set of standards and contribute to achieving ENEC’s vision of creating a world-class civil nuclear power program

Processes and Controls

• Implement processes and controls to ensure ENEC is fully compliant with IFRS requirements

Process Improvements

• Continually assess existing processes and strive for process improvement in order to create efficiencies in processes and workflows

Fixed Asset inventory

• Manage the Fixed Asset and inventory registry as per ENEC regulations for use in assessing total inventory value and calculate depreciation

Book of Knowledge

• Capture and share lessons learned and other useful knowledge that will enhance ENEC’s ability to deliver a cost-effective, sustainable, safe and transparent NPP program

Quality

• Ensure the quality of all reporting is in conformance with regulations, legislation, policies and procedures

• Manage the effective achievement of department objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal, in order to maximize subordinate and department performance

Budget

• Prepare and recommend the development of department budget, and monitors financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment

People Management

• Manage the effective achievement of organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal, in order to maximize subordinate and department performance

• Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiritization strategy

• Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance

Stakeholder Engagement

• Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships

HSE

• Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, by delivery of the HSE Management Program to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality service and a responsible environmental attitude.
