Responsible for one or more projects or for the management of large and/or complex projects. Which involves the management of construction managers and all relevant consultants and contractors. Has overall responsibility for monitoring and supervising all activities related to an assigned project(s) ensuring completion to budget and time schedules. This will include the monitoring of companies in relation to project management schedules, use of sub-contractors, and on-site construction engineering activities. Responsible for providing feedback regarding project progress, deviations, and changes and ensuring delivering the projects to acceptable LREDC standards regarding quality, health, safety, and performance.Assists Contract Department in development and implementation of the contracting strategy for selection of appropriate companies to ensure adherence to procedure and governance. Supervises the project team to ensure completeness of technical brief for the tender and optimal technical and financial evaluation.
Provides day-to-day direction and works with Lusail staff to ensure a high performance, customer service-oriented work environment that supports achieving the Department's and Lusail’s mission, strategic plan, objectives and values.
Keeps abreast of technical developments, relevant regulations and industry best practice.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for a few small projects or for one large/complex project at one time.
Overall responsibility for provision of technical input regarding project and construction management to the Design Manager, during the design and development phase of the project.
Lead the technical evaluation of bids received and develop the technical bid tabulation. Assist / participate in the commercial evaluation as appropriate.
Reviews draft contract and participates in contract negotiations. Ensures proper and clear division of responsibility between Lusail and partners where there is integrated work processes.
Liaises with the Design Department, respective Government authorities, and client to monitor/endorse translation of the design documents into a detailed project plan ensuring that the project engineering activities comply with design specifications.
Liaises with the Design Department to monitors/endorse the design and job specifications developed by the consultant or contractor company to determine and evaluate appropriate construction methods, determine cost-effectiveness of plans and interprets the design and application of the adopted construction methods.
Overall responsibility for ensuring scope, design basis and objectives are defined; best practices/lessons learned are identified; detailed work plans, schedules, budgets and procedures are established including: execution plan; contract plan; plan for addressing critical cross-functional work processes and systems, etc.
Overall responsibility for monitoring and control of all contractual commitments with the Contractors and or Consultants to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with the specifications, drawings and terms of the contract and that change orders and claims are processed in a timely manner.
Ensures that an appropriate methodology is developed and endorsed to approve changes to contract.
Reviews and approves project control systems which measure progress/performance, provides early warning of deviations from plan, and identifies corrective actions to be taken.
Overall responsibility for the management and maintenance of Lusail project files for projects under direct control. This will include as-built drawings, design data, project contracts, specifications and drawing submittals etc.
