Resident Engineer - Louis Berger

Performing the duties of the Resident Engineer Roads on site.







Managing and direction of a team of Highway Engineers and Inspectors for the supervision of the construction of the roadwork designs.







Identifying the resourcing requirements for the effective supervision of the highway aspects of the construction works, and manages the supervision team.







Acting as prime point of contact for the highway construction supervision aspects of the project, including progress reporting, safety, financial recommendations, quality control and design modifications.







Builds a trusted relationship with the management team and with the client’s counterpart staff.







Establishing an appropriate working relationship with the contractors.







Placing an emphasizing on safe construction practices (Target Zero) and on maintaining a high quality of construction. Leads by example in driving safe practices on site.







Using effective project management and controls systems to regularly report on progress to the management team.







Monitoring progress of construction against the programme, and takes steps to ensure the programme is achieved.







Ensuring that the project quality control procedures are used for the highway supervision works and monitors it for improvement.







Defining the scope of work of any sub-consultants and ensures that their employment is effectively administered.







Identifying software and systems required for the administration of the project construction supervision.







Contributing to the safety and build-ability reviews of the proposed designs.







Evaluating, selecting, and adapting construction management and control techniques, procedures, and criteria to suit job tasks, and devises and implements solutions to problems encountered.







Ensuring that the Roads Construction Supervision team members effectively identify, manage and report project risks.

• Collect payment as required from Cash Sale Customers once repairs are completed



• Maintain Field Service Vehicle in accordance Company Policy guidelines while on call - includes personal and company tools, spare parts & consumables

• Attend & participate in Workshop onsite meetings as required.
