Facility Position Title: Controller Finance - Saudi Job Name: Controller.Country Function: Accounting/Finance Job Summary: Lead and coordinate local accounting, statutory and compliance requirements, taxation and other governmental filings in addition to financial planning, financing, forecasting, controls implementation, and financial analysis to achieve company growth, profitability and stability. Provide support to corporate HR and legal team on various matters including but not limited to, Payroll, Tax, Legal compliances. Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Support and direct the business unit managers on the various business issues. Responsibilities: • Support the business unit managers with respect to compliance on various legal, statutory and tax issues, foreign exchange regulations etc. • Support corporate HR on establishment of payroll procedures and appraise them of the various payroll compliance requirements (social security, tax etc) • Support corporate legal with the various requirements as needed • Direct the implementation of Accounting Policies, control systems, and other methods, systems, and procedures, accounting and operational, to continually improve the timeliness, accuracy and meaningfulness of reported financial information. • Analyze, interpret, and provide commentary on financial results to Regional Vice-President of Operations, and provide guidelines to insure the achievement of performance objectives and/or to improve current performance. • Exercise control over operating costs, capital, expense, and inventory items by enforcing expense authorization guidelines, questioning authorized expenses that do not fall within the guidelines of plans, budgets and forecasts and questioning notwithstanding compliance with authorization and budget guidelines. • Assist in the development and implementation of financial forecasts, plans and budgets to provide operating direction and coordination and ensure maximum contributions to company goals. • Assist and coordinate internal and external audits for related business units. • Assist with SOX compliance and internal control for all supported business units. • Comply with all NOV Company policies and procedures, Corporate directives, regulatory guidelines, generally accepted accounting principles and industry practices. • Perform other work related tasks as assigned. • Provide support as needed to senior management to answer and review questions on operating results, account balances, forecasts and other financial affairs of the region/business units requested. • Assist in the review and completion of tender/bid offers and service contract. o Work with the Operations personnel in the preparation of Project Cost Schedule and Analysis. o Perform initial review of Contract and coordinate Corporate/Regional Legal Department review. o Ascertain that finance related requirements of the tender/bid/contact (i.e. bid bonds, performance bonds) are secured on a timely manner when provided ample notice from operations managers. • Work with the Business Unit Controller to research and recommend the most efficient means to operate in the region from a financial, statutory and legal perspective. Remediate current situation if necessary. Qualifications / Requirements: • Bachelors in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. (CA or CPA or Equivalent) • 7+ years of experience Areas of Experience: Accountants, Finance
