Director of Operations - Gastronomica


Key roles:







The purpose of the job is to develop Gastronomica’s overall long term strategic objectives and business plan; to monitor the implementation of strategies; to optimize the short, medium and long term performance as well as estimate viability of corporate goals.







The focus of the job is to improve the Company's performance and ensure business growth.







Director for Operations will be accountable for achieving all annual operating profit goals through driving sales, developing and retaining exceptional talent, and achieving superior and consistent operational excellence. He has to be instrumental in executing strategic plans, while championing guest satisfaction, employee motivation and positive fiscal results.















Primary Duties and responsibilities:







Formulate and develop the business directions, objectives, targets and plans within the regions for the responsible brands.







Direct and manage overall operations of restaurants through on-site visits and analysis of reports. Ensure that restaurants achieve financial commitments and guest satisfaction standards.







Provide strategic and tactical guidance on developing restaurant operations, standards and guidelines including service, food preparation, sales, guest relations, safety/security, marketing and brand development.







Ensure direct reports perform all necessary administrative and accounting duties promptly and properly. This includes preparing/overseeing and submitting of accurate daily/weekly/monthly paperwork, maintaining and controlling of restaurant assets, food and beverage inventory, compiling with laws, regulations and guidelines, adhering to the restaurant operating budget, and managing service contracts.







Analyze systems and procedures for continual improvement of earning goals. Provide strategic direction for sales, operations and promotions.







Provide strategic and operational leadership for human resources and administration. Act as a trusted advisor; serve as a key driver of organizational development, environment and culture; develop/manage the operations and human resources team.







Collaborate closely with departments’ heads to identify areas for improvement.







Work closely with Finance Department to review and approve monthly costs of employee benefits, consulting contracts, leases, vendors’ payments, payroll changes and other.







Supervise the development and maintenance of the office and information technology systems alongside the IT Department, including network management, database management, vendors and consultants management, inventory and procurement.







Monitor all purchase activities and ensure all standards are met.







Provide effective leadership and oversight of the business operations to ensure smooth operation of the office and all departments are in compliance with the company direction and legal requirements.







Upkeep of the image, standards and principle of the organization, keeping a transparent easily accessible style of management.







Lead company and staff performance on a regular basis to ensure long term achievement of the plans within the region.







Build strong management team and relationship. Manage the manpower effectively and to ensure high service standard and high team spirit among staff.







Review and analyze periodical financial operations, financial reporting in order to further plan and modify strategically the operational activities.







Accountability for signing documents that verify the country organizations’ compliance with financial, legal and government rules and regulations.







Lead change by utilizing your understanding of major organizational or industry transitions to define and communicate what the organization must do to support these changes.







Should monitor closely and continuously the activities of all country heads and ensure smooth running of the office and also the restaurants; nationally and internationally.
