The Finance Director is responsible for leading and directing the finance department. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards

Budget

Work with the Finance Managers/General to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals

Prepare and recommend the development of department budget, and monitors financial performance versus the budget to ensure alignment

Reporting

Produce and review standard (budgeting, day to day financial reporting, forecasting) and ad hoc reports as per request in order to inform the senior management decision making process and input to forward planning.

Ensure that Finance teams are providing month end closing and all other required management reports

Systems and Procedures

Oversee systems and procedures and ensure they continue to be compliant to the rules and regulations that govern them despite the changes

Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximise impact and efficiency

Comply with policies and procedures across the area, maximising performance on the Finance Balanced Scorecard

Treasury

Liaise with banks in order to secure necessary funding and banking facilities

People Management

Lead monthly finance update meetings with General Manager

Manage the effective achievement of organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance

Assist Finance Team to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations

Stakeholder Engagement

Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships
