Al Jazeera Media Network are currently running a project to Digitalise all their Tape based assets into the Media Asset Management system (MAM) which manages the physical archive Storage.

Role Responsibilities:

- Preparation & cleaning of tapes

- Loading of tapes in tape robot,

- Ingest tapes from VTRs and Manage upload of files stored on XDcam discs

- Operating the tools required to achieve this job to a very high standard with immense speed and accuracy.

- Required to work across all channels

- Expected to understand and adhere to the workflows and processes of the LAM .

- Show a consistent ability to meet tight deadlines whilst demonstrating flexibility & prioritization.

- Demonstrate initiative and proactive behavior.

This role requires an understanding of:

- Archiving processes,

- Matadata,

- Knowledge of server based environments,

- Familiar with all current tape / disc formats.
