Interior designers plan the design of living and commercial environments. They then manage the work of turning their ideas into a reality. They need to design a space that is practical for its purpose as well as visually pleasing. Projects can be broad in scope, ranging from structural alterations to the choice of furnishings, curtains, wallpaper and lighting.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Make proposal designs for different projects "New or Renew Or Extension"

- Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail setting project schedules.

- Preparing budgets & schedules.

- Researching and gathering information and photographs relating to the project.

- Producing 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation.

- Sourcing products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration, and providing samples.

- Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, using computer-aided design (CAD) software; surveying buildings; supervising work at the design stage and on site.

- Keeping up to date with new developments in the design furniture industry.

- Make 3D presentations for all the project components.

- Researching and drawing free hand sketches

- Supervising the work as it is carried out.
