Radio Engineer

(RE) reports to the TV chief engineer and the RSM in parallel. He serves both as a support engineer and as an operations manager. He is responsible for both the broadcast and IT aspects of the operation. He also carries out technical and operational tasks related with online and social media aspects of our radio.

This role can be split into two categories:

Production activities include:

 consulting with producers and performers to determine the sound requirements;

 selecting, positioning, adjusting and operating the equipment used for amplification and recording;

 applying technical knowledge of sound recording equipment to achieve the determined artistic objectives;

 recording sound onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders;

 monitoring audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions;

 anticipating and correcting any problems;

 maintaining and repairing sound equipment.

Post-production activities include:

 integrating (synchronisation) of pre-recorded audio (dialogue, sound effects and music) with visual content;

 re-recording and synchronising audio (post-synching);

 mixing and balancing speech, effects and music;

 Operating mixer during Live shows

 Preparing Songs, and breaks for the Live shows as per each show needs

 Creating playlist for the whole day/week/month as per the assigned grid, and change it according to request.

 Make sure all Live bulletins are going on time

 Troubleshoot system, and playlist 24/7 even by coming to station, or logging remotely.

 Manage Music Library, and Archive.
