Project Engineer – Civil Engineer(Transferable Iqama)
The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing the project/site related technical support and advisory services for civil works and landscaping throughout the different stages of business opportunity development and execution.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities1. Perform all activities related to civil engineering throughout the project development phases (design, tendering and construction) in line with in line with URED's Technical Services policies and procedures.
2. Provide timely technical engineering assistance and support to the Business Development division and other functions within URED throughout the life cycle of each project.
3. Participate in the preparation of the master plan production. This includes the selection of design consultants and preparation of development program, land capacity report, landscaping concepts, architectural themes, final master plan and presentation
4. Review and maintain CAD / AUTOCAD designs and blueprints / drawings and share them with the concerned parties and the division manager
5. Monitor all technical matters pertaining to design development and technical considerations including incorporation of updates as required.
6. Assist the Design & Engineering Services Manager in all civil engineering related studies, issues, and requests.
7. Prepare scope of work, including specifications, drawings and other technical parts of tender documents for the project. evaluate the technical bids and proposals submitted by the bidders, review specifications, drawings and other technical documents submitted by the contractor or supplier
8. Ensure the production of complete and approved design, tender and contract documentation are in compliance with the approved master schedule and in line with the construction regulations, standards and permits.
9. Supervise, monitor and inspect contractors' work during the contract execution to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of contract, and report any discrepancy between contract and actual work to the Design & Engineering Services Manager.
10. Examine, control and evaluate sub-contractors invoices and ensure the contractual obligations are satisfied and advice Construction Services on payments of the same.
11. Participate in the site commissioning and handover of project site by finalizing project closure and obtaining certificate of completion.
12. Create and maintain an updated database on all the civil engineering activities including technical details.
13. Resolve unexpected technical difficulties, obstacles and other problems pertaining to civil engineering that may arise.Organizational RelationshipsInternal Relationships• Design & Engineering Services Manager.• All employees in the same department• Other Directors / Managers as needed • Legal, Risk & Compliance Affairs Officer• UHC Construction Management Advisors
