My client, one of the leading lingerie designers in the Middle East is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join their expanding team. With the growth of the brand taking over the Middle East and fast becoming women’s brand of choice for their glamorous lingerie.

There are a number of responsibilities that accompany the role of Senior Buyer, primarily the overall management of a group of product categories with additional responsibilities including the following: • Ensure optimal stock is available to support their department sales plan• Work closely with Merchandise Planning, Visual Merchandising, Retail, Marketing, Shipping and Suppliers to ensure the departmental goals are met• Ensure products are launched on time as per the CPA• Maintain accurate system costs for their categories• Work with the Supply and Distribution teams to consolidate shipments and work with vendors on mode of shipment based on requirements• Review product prices in line with the competition• Work with the Merchandise Planning team to develop promotional strategies and to ensure availability during key seasons• Review payment terms with suppliers and set targets for 1-3 years• Manage the buying team and establish and maintain strong relationships with other teams
