Welder Candidates Skills & Experience

• Skilled welder, any license or certificates will be a plus but not a condition to be accepted since the application does not need such types of certificates.

• Having good experience in Submerged Arc Welding, MIG and MAG welding.

• Experience in welding inspection and test using test equipment is a plus.

• Select and lay out materials to be joined, either vertically of horizontally.

• Follow engineering instructions and technical welding processes.

• Use the most suitable welding method for the job as per the instruction.

• Inspect and test cuts and joins, using precision measuring instruments, such as a micrometer.

• Operate semi-automatic spot-welding equipment.

* Common types of welding include oxyacetylene; Argon based mixed gases (Argon, Co2 and O2) MIG (metal inert gas), MAG (metal active gas).

Work realities:

 Welders will work in a mass production manufacturing environment, at fixed site as employees within the factory facilities applying welding activities.

Some workers classed as welders are machine operators who operate production welding, some others who are having better leadership and

experience might be assigned as team leaders.

Reporting to:  

The welder will report to a team leader, foreman or supervisor, accordingly production Manager (Engineer).

Duties:

 Lower-skilled welders operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, being in charge of guard or foot ring welding.

Those with higher skill levels also read and interpret blueprints, have a better knowledge of welding techniques, fitting skills, and metallurgy.

Will be assigned to be in charge of top and bottom parts of cylinders joining and welding as well as some of them might be assigned for welding inspection, test, quality control and assurance.

Future possibilities:  

Welders can be selected by job depends on their level of welding experience, training and experience. Including problem solving skills,

attention to details, speed and accuracy especially in semi- automatic welding machine operating.
