Marketing Analyst - Career Hunters


SUMMARY



Responsible for performing research and providing insights regarding the market, trends, competitors, potential and existing customers, and current marketing campaigns.







PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



• Examine a campaign's return on investment.



• Track budgets.



• Measure success of various marketing campaigns.



• Identify new market opportunities.



• Perform extensive market research.



• Determine brand perceptions and reputations.



• Evaluate market penetration.



• Analyze marketing metrics to identify cause and effect relationships.



• Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability.



• Create databases and capture market data.



• Analyze competitors and advise on pricing strategies.



• Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets.



• Develop strategies in tandem with marketing department.



• Create questionnaires and surveys.



• Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians and marketing experts.



• Generate reports that analyze competition and customers.



• Offer insights about product potentials.



• Gather statistical data on competitors.



• Examine prices, methods of marketing, and sales.



• Analyze data on past sales to predict future sales.



• Obtain data to design surveys and assess consumer preferences.



• Devise focus group discussions, mail responses, and set up booths at public places.



• Provide vital information to help in making decisions on the promotion, distribution, and design of products or services.



• Determine whether companies should add new lines of products.



• Conduct research when opening new branches.



• Gather information to help make fiscal or policy decisions, measure the effectiveness of those decisions, and improve customer satisfaction.



• Conduct opinion research to determine public attitudes on a variety of issues.



• Be familiar with advanced statistical analysis and research methodologies, along with common computer programs.



• Design surveys in many different formats.
