Summary

The role of Head of IT Application Development Section, will be managing section which is comprised of groups that are charged with the analysis, development, and ongoing support for existing applications, including the ERP system of record (JD Edwards) and other custom internal development projects for the support of the projects pipeline and company initiatives.

The key deliverable is to ensure that the projects pipeline is reviewed, Corporate Initiatives are prioritized, Standards for Quality Assurance are maintained, Change Management procedures are enforced and the IT SDLC is followed correctly. The role will also be responsible for budgeting, project forecasting and ensuring that the IT teams are developed and motivated to realize their full potential and work towards increasing ROI on human resources

Description

- Plan, Lead and organize activities of section and constituent teams- Ensure that corporate IT investments, plans, procedures and programs are met on time and within scope.- Formulate and Monitor implementation & improvements of IT policies and procedures, both existing & New.- Forecast, prepare and approve the section Fiscal yearly plans and associated budgets.- Evaluation, Selection and Purchase of Software and/or Hardware.- Review and approve Software licensing and maintenance contracts with vendors.- Lead IT related projects, when necessary, in the capacity of IT Project Manager. - Participate, as required, in establishment and execution of Company level IT related strategies.

Profile

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering.- 15 years of direct and relevant experience within oil / gas, petrochemical or relevant industry- 5 years of experience in Senior Supervisory position, managing multiple development teams / groups.- Background in programming, system analysis, project management and IT strategies.- Strong leadership and Supervisory skills, with ability to lead IT Group to projected deadlines, goals and targets- Excellent command of English language, both written & verbal.- Hands on technical knowledge on ERP Systems (preferably JD Edwards). - Experience with project pipeline management, PMO and team build out.- Experience of Governance, Regulatory, and Audit policies / procedures and requirements.- Knowledge of current IT industry direction, technologies and trends
