Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL Geotechnical Engineer - Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose:

Form part of an international geotechnical team and work under direct supervision of intermediate and senior geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists to enable the successful delivery of projects in the UAE, and other locations in the MENAI region.

This is a full-time permanent position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Prepare draft technical reports for review, including desk studies, ground investigation tender documents and geotechnical interpretive reports

Carry out geotechnical analysis for review, including soil slope stability, rock slope stability, bearing capacity, retaining wall deign, settlement, shallow foundation design and pile design

Supervision of geotechnical ground investigations throughout the UAE, and possibly the wider Middle East Region

Supervision of geotechnical site works such as piling

Provide detailed interpretation of ground investigation factual reports and derive parameters for geotechnical analyses

Management of geotechnical data management tools

Basic Qualifications

Job Requirements/Qualifications

B.Tech / B.Sc in geology or engineering related subjects, and M.Tech / M.Sc in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology

Ideally 3 years post graduation experience working with a geotechnical consultant and/or a specialist ground engineering company
