An international architectural practice is currently conducting a search for a Site Inspector to work on a large mall redevelopment. The position is to be based in Dubai and will be split into shift work with a possible night shift.

Responsibilities

As the Site Inspector you will be liaising and working for the Site Architect and will act in a Lead Consultant’s role as a member of the practices site inspectorate representative

• You will conduct all Architectural Inspection tasks and duties in accordance with the Construction contract requirements

• Coordinate with the other sub-consultant staff for joint inspections

• Arrange access to works contract through the Site Architect and familiarize yourself with contract requirements

• Follow and implement all relevant company and project work procedures

• Establish a staff organization chart, lines of communications and reporting procedures

• Distribute works to site engineers

• Conduct pre contract activities including contractor set out points and datum points

• Obtain and understand all existing surveys and site conditions

• Review Contractors HSE Plan and QA/QC Manual

• Update and maintain complete drawing schedules and specifications

• Establish and maintain a register of all design documentation issues

• Maintain a Daily diary, which should include the Weather

• Inspections and testing carried out

• NCN’s & Site Observations raised

• Inspect all Contractors resources

• Attended all site meetings including: QA/QC, Progress, Deliverables and Contract Closing Meetings

• Establish all site inspection criteria and quality standards
