Assistant Manager - Retail Delivery - Aldar Properties
Job Summary:
Manage and coordinate the retail delivery fit-out process for residential, commercial, assest from unit handover, interior design and construction to successful completion in accordance with Aldar objectives, balancing and meeting requirements for consistent standards, premium quality and expeditious delivery.
Serves as a point of contact for all design & fit-out matters between the Tenant and Aldar (Project team, Asset Management, Estates, Portfolio, Design and Infrastructure and Legal).
Roles and Responsibilities:
Instigate, develop, populate and update Retail Delivery process documents & guidelines (including technical specifications & HSE criteria) for inclusion in Aldar retail legal documentation and for efficient communication with Tenants and Consultants / Contractors.
Meet with relevant Government agencies to adopt best practices for approvals & fit-out processes and maintain the highest standards of interaction between the agencies & Aldar. Monitor Aldar compliance with statutory agencies for issue of essential base build approval documentation necessary to proceed with tenant’s fit out.
Liaise with PM regarding retail construction programme, snagging, conduct final unit inspection and document handover to Retail Delivery when practically complete ensuring sufficiency of services for end use.
Collate and manage the information flow and issue of documentation and drawings between Tenants, Retail Leasing, Project Team and Asset Team to achieve all commercial targets.
Compile pre-qualified lists of consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery
Liaison with Tenants to expedite the design and fit out process, and review of pre-qualification of Tenant nominated contractors, considering ability to delivery quality fit outs on time.
Asses the retailers concept & detail design, submittals and approvals process – coordinate necessary technical approvals from specialist consultants and colleagues.
Monitor & manage the approvals process timelines in accordance with Aldar Lease documents to safeguard rent commencement
Handover unit to tenant, facilitating site briefing and safety induction.
Manage the Leasing Variation & Tenant Change (base-build) process to achieve the required building modifications in a timely manner, and ensure Aldar is reimbursed / accordingly. Inspect & approve on completion.
Manage the Tenant relocation, refurbishment and major Tenant fit-out works associated with the property.
Audit and prioritize completion of base-build works with Senior Project Manager to align with Retail requirements.
Manage external Testing and Commissioning Agent to ensure full and safe transition to Aldar FM team.

8+ years of experience in an interior design company or in a Retail Delivery role
Deep understanding of the UAE and GCC retail construction requirements
Strong client facing experience
Excellent analytical skills
Strong understanding of approvals processes, fit-out activities and procedures.Interpersonal skills:
