Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager, the successful candidate will develop and action a plan for the recreation services offered to female students and staff. This includes but is not limited to:

Duties & responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory for all recreational equipment, and order equipment as required.

• Participate in planning campus events in coordination with the cultural officers, student representatives and management.

• Develop plans for intramural recreation and sports.

• Provide general supervision of the swimming pool area and technical requirements.

• Organize and lead recreational events and /or sports competitions within the campus for both students and staff.

• Take the lead in forming College teams, and coordinating with other post-secondary institutes and organizations to participate in intercollegiate and other externally related events.

• Advise on the best and safest methods for use of the recreation centre facilities / equipment based on facts and experience.

• Act as an intermediary between management and students.

• Educate students and staff and ensure safe usage of the fitness room equipment.

• Assist with basic work out routines.

• Plan and participate in Health and Wellness activities and education for the CNA-Q community.

• Provide general supervision of the recreation facility, including keeping accurate statistics, ordering supplies, and ensuring that maintenance is updated regularly.

• Serve on appropriate committees.

• Take initiative on implementing present and upcoming trends to ensure that the recreation department remains current and relevant.

• Perform other related tasks as needed.
