WORKSHOP MANAGER - HEAVY EQUIPMENT
- Analyses current procedures and activities to identify present opportunities for improvement of workshop and others.
- Conducts proactive discussion and maintains good relationships with customers.
- Provide prompt and efficient filed response to customer’s warranty need on new products in the warranty period, liaising with HE Sales Department.
- Ensures that the department is adequately staffed to achieve objectives, and that technicians are aware of procedures for using new products and equipments.
- Orients new team members (explain work hours, procedures, use of equipment) to familiarize them with work surroundings.
- Explains job expectations and procedures to ensure that new team members understand their respective duties.
- Ensures adequate maintenance of tools, equipments and other materials in the Service Area.
- Takes proactive training and development of team members in the department.
- Coaches and develops the job related skills of team members to support improvements in their job performance.
- Provides advice and technical assistance to team members.
- Evaluates the impact of work delays, interruptions or changes in plans to develop appropriate course of actions.
- Provides feedback to team members and ensures their continuous growth.
- Monitors workflow in the retail section to anticipate impact of delays if incase team members are on leaves, holidays or sick.
- Review customers service orders and inspect the quality of a technician repairs before the release of Heavy Equipment.
- Reviews work order to ensure that al actions have been documented according to retail facility policies and procedures.
- Plans and adjust the workloads of department personnel to match their skills and abilities.
- Plans and prepares annual budget for the department and facilities, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions. Follows up closely during implementation.
- Coordinates with sales department and arranges for delivery of equipment to customers.
- Conduct annual Performance Appraisal for Heavy Equipment Personnel.
