Resident Engineer - Utilities - EGIS
Reporting to the Senior Resident Engineer and is the person primarily responsible for the provision of the Construction Supervision Services of the Utilities. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
• Ensure all requirements relating to HSE and Security are met.
• Technical Support to the team and coordination
• Check contractor’s submissions and shop drawings
• Assist in Preparation of progress reports
• Monitor and reporting of progress, quality and costs for highway construction
• Convene technical meetings as and when required to resolve technical issues
• Oversee Assistant Resident Engineers and the Field staffs.
• Make regular site visit with contractor and contractor representatives and client whenever needed.
• Prepare Surveillance Deficiency Report and Non Conformance Report.
• Prepare and assist in preparation of Site Instruction.
• Assist in Preparation of progress reports
• Assist in Evaluation of Contractor claims
• Preparation of Taking over Certificates.
• Assist in evaluation of contractor claims
• Responsible for ensuring that the Utilities elements of the works are constructed in accordance with the contract requirements.
• Coordinate with the Public Authorities for the utilities.
• Ensure that all the necessary specific requirement made by stake holders are fully implemented by the contractor.
