Procurement Manager - ALJERIC


A Procurement Manager will be required to assist the Project team on a large Hospitality project within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Will have an extensive Procurement and purchasing construction background, and will be familiar with all aspects of the construction integration process.







The Procurement manager will understand the sequencing of the projects life cycle, understanding the specific procurement / buyout requirements of each phase of the project and each critical item as the construction process evolves.







The Procurement Manager will participate in defining and developing the scope of procurement work, and in preparing and coordinating procurement plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts and budgets.







The role will require the development of material assignments, including the delegation and assignment of responsibility, will develop and manage the Procurement execution plan to align with the engineering, construction plan, and operation plans.







The procurement manager will have strong negotiating skills, understand the logistics and shipping requirements of the region, and the applicable laws and requirements as it pertains to individual components of the project. The role will also expect a clear understanding of the correct certification and local government’s approval as the project progresses and will demonstrate a clear understanding of the designer’s equipment, systems, and operational requirements as shown in the construction documents.



The Procurement manager will serve as point of contact between the Project management team, venders and suppliers, including some external service providers. Assists in the information and advises the project team for owner/client meetings to ensure that the senior management can make timely and effective decisions, with accurate project information to inform the team.







KEY RESPONSIBILITIES







• Assisting the project management & commercial team on procurement/buyout of items



• Aids in creating and implementing project work plans, revising plans & details based on procurement project requirements.



• Actively involved in the selection, and submittal process of components.



• Communicates clearly the sequential process for key items during the construction phase.



• Coordinates with external system providers.



• Ensuring all certifications and approvals for the region are met for each component.



• Actively involved in the closeout and final handover documentation for components.



• Implementing company methodologies and project principles,



• Preparing project reviews and documenting project details.



• Implements safety procedures and budget planning to reduce risks and revenue losses
