Nursing Practice Instructors, Clinical Simulation Centre - University of Calgary in Qatar

The University of Calgary in Qatar is currently seeking two Nurse Practice Instructors for the Clinical Simulation Centre. The Centre is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art simulation training equipment available in the world. It includes a family of high-fidelity simulators designed for scenario-based training for the care and management of a wide variety of patients.
Reporting to the Director of the Clinical Simulation Centre, the Nursing Practice Instructors will work in a high paced environment, with various competing deadlines. This role will work closely with staff, faculty, students and patients on a daily basis, requiring flexibility and an ability to adapt to an atmosphere of constant change.
The successful applicants must be able to relocate to Doha, Qatar ideally by January 2015. This is a 2 year contract renewable upon mutual agreement.
Job Function include but are not limited to:
•Facilitating low to high-fidelity simulation activities within the Clinical Simulation Centre
•Working closely with standardized patients, helping to create simulations and provide direction to the actors
•Providing leadership in teaching clinical skills including health assessment
•Working effectively with small groups of students on campus or in off campus community and acute care settingsParticipating in team meetings related to practice courses and faculty governance
•Participating in student assessment and evaluations on and off campus
•Recommending program enhancements
