LABORATORY

• Ensure equipment in the lab is well maintained • File samples correctly and update database of fragrance samples • Maintain fragrance collection • Coordinating with our Headquarters & Local Supplier for availability of raw materials, packaging materials and the lead times • Maintain the inventory management of all the internal bases, packaging materials and raw materials needed for the internal uses • Responsible for organizing the day to day workload in the Application Laboratory to ensure that customer samples are dispatched efficiently and timely

SAMPLES

• Prepare application samples for Submissions, Evaluation and Market Research • Request fragrance oil samples for customers where required. Monitoring the courier process. • Order product base where required

FORMULATION

• Develop and forward formulations to clients where requested • Liaise with applications laboratories in SAMEA for suggested formulations • Provide advice to customers on formulation problems/issues. Trouble shooting their formulation issues. • Search for new formulations or updated formulations internally and externally • Responsible for preparation of the internal bases of Cosmetics & Toiletries, Home Care, Fabric Care and Personal Care products and maintain the oils samples needed for these applications • Assisting the customer in the availability of cost effective raw materials

TECHNOLOGY IN PERFUMERY

• Liaise with the Technology team in SAMEA region regarding Givaudan’s technology • Able to apply technology on site and initiate pro-active demonstration + presentation • Attendance on pilot plant trials at customer site

STABILITY TESTS

• Prepare sample for Stability studies • Conduct stability studies according to required protocol • Set up stability tests and monitor in conjunction with Creative Fragrance Management team

RE-TESTING

• Take responsibility for fragrance oil re-tests • Send samples to the relevant QC Lab and follow up on results; results interpretation and reporting

REGULATORY

• Issue safety data sheets on request (generated by the QMS system) • Deal with all requests for regulatory documentation • Maintenance of regulatory documentation
