Legal Counsel

Based in Lebanon, the Legal Counsel will report to the Group In-house Legal Counsel and will collaborate closely with the different departments of the Group.

The principle purpose of the role of Legal Counsel is to provide support to the Group In-house Counsel in the delivery of accurate and timely advice to the business on the Group’s legal matters, addressing and preventing legal issues related to both local and regional businesses, and to contribute in maintaining and updating the Group’s legal entities documentation including companies’ official documents and board and shareholders’ meeting minutes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft and review all documentation, letters and agreements whether intercompany or with third parties, under the supervision of the Group In-house Counsel, related to employment, distribution, supply, purchase, lease, license, manufacturing or any other kind of agreements

• Ensure that the Standard Operating procedures related to “Drafting and Reviewing Agreements” is well implemented by the different departments

• Assist the Group In-house Counsel in setting and implementing SOPs and templates that facilitate the coordination between the Legal department and the business

• Support the Group In-house Counsel by conducting legal and other researches that serve as grounds to accurate and timely legal advice provided by the Legal Department

• Proactively handle corporate legal requirements related to registrations of companies, including the drafting and signature of by-laws and board and general assembly minutes, commercial circulars, internal regulations etc … and maintaining and updating such documentation at all times when required

• Ensure the appropriate protection of the Group’s trademarks, trade names, and so forth

• Ensure all legal formalities are properly prepared and submitted on time in coordination with outside legal counsels or through the Legal clerk

• Review progress of outstanding litigations in full coordination with the Group In-house Counsel and outside counsels and provide them with the necessary documents and information

• In coordination with local and regional outside counsels, proactively assist the Group In-house Counsel in overseeing and addressing the Group’s local and regional legal exposure

• Assist the Group In-house Counsel in providing legal assistance to the Management and Business Development Committee on new business development initiatives

• Prepare and submit to the Group In-house Counsel periodic reports, as requested, in a timely, precise and efficient manner

• Implement legal software to efficiently store legal documentation and facilitate the coordination between the Legal department and the business, including renewal of agreements or corporate documentation.

• Build and maintain excellent relations with government administrations and public institutions, where required

Set up the mis-en-place in stations for the various meal periods in accordance to performance standard.

Prepare food items according to the standard recipes.

Prepare, check and taste the food before the service.

Train employees including the Commis I and II

Ensure that all kitchen equipment’s is properly maintained and there is minimum damage while in use.

Ensure that operating standards for the equipments are followed.

WATER INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - OFFICER - Oxfam

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To work closely with staff at the Bekaa Water Establishment, Engineering Consultant and Contractor to implement the project in line with the Objectives laid out in the Logical Framework.

2. Assist plan and undertake a water supply network and hydraulic study.

3. Verify quality of technical documents provided by the engineering consultant as part of the tender process.

4. Ascertain the constructions standards and SOPs required by the Bekaa Water Establishment.

5. Monitor the budget and ensure funds are spent within the time frame acceptable to the donor.

6. Work closely with Oxfam policy and advocacy team.

7. Ensure donor has visibility throughout the entire project period.

Secondary Priorities

1. To assist in identifying new infrastructure projects aimed at supporting the role of the Bekaa water establishment. Provide relevant information to Line Manager to assist in developing new proposals together with programme Manager and Funding coordinator.

2. To report regularly, verbally and in writing to the Infrastructure Project Manager.

3. To assist in preparing mid-term and final reports for donors in collaboration with Line Manager by providing timely and accurate information.

4. To ensure that the project takes gender and age issues into account.
