Responsibilities:

Strategic:

1. Formulate the Al-Sayer Insurance Brokerage strategic plans and budgets identifying the long term direction for the business in order to achieve business results.

2. Identify the strategic business and market trends, i.e. competitors and principals’ activities, customers’ behaviors, and ensure alignment of the various business components to these trends and formulate solutions to cope with market changes.

3. Participate in due diligence in order to assess the business implications for mergers and acquisitions and recommend solutions.

Operational:

1. Plan and Direct marketing and commercial activities, such as pricing, product mix, promotions, advertising, sales targets, commission schemes etc… so that agreed profit, sales and market penetration targets are achieved in order to obtain competitive position in industry.

2. Plan and direct the sales and after sales activities such as claims settlement and renewal of insurance policies, to ensure that the services rendered to customers are of the highest quality in order to achieve the target customer satisfaction index.

4. Ensure that the Al-Sayer Insurance Brokerage has the appropriate processes and systems to monitor and control its operations effectively and achieve its financial targets.

5. Represent the Al-Sayer Insurance Brokerage and negotiate with Insurance Companies for matters pertaining to insurance terms and conditions, pricing and commission.



People Management:

1. Plan and control staffing and development of the Al-Sayer Insurance Brokerage or department staff to ensure effective operations of business unit/department function and provide for continuity of managerial and specialized skills.

2. Review the performance and potential of individual staff members and make/approve decisions relating to Al-Sayer Insurance Brokerage employee matters, such as appointment and termination of staff, promotions and salary adjustments, disciplinary action, succession planning, development plans, etc...
