• You are expected to display a high degree of Technical knowledge and competence relating to your discipline, based on previous working experience in engineered-to-purpose Desalination equipment/plant supplied by APS.

• Particularly, this shall involve the Engineering of thermal desalination equipment’s and turnkey plants for sales proposals and projects execution covering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf Cooperation Council and the North Africa countries.

I) Internal Organization Relationships & Interfacing:

o PROJECT MANAGER - Overall

o CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - Project construction-related matters

• Internal Interfacing:

o PROJECT DIRECTOR - key issues arising with respect to own discipline, which has cost and time impact on the Project undertaken.

o ENGINEERING DIRECTOR / PROJECT DESIGN ENGINEERS - Interface the Project Site (Construction Team) and Engineering Department to ensure timely issuance of IFC drawings, accurate information and optimum design/ease of construction

o PROCUREMENT MANAGER - To communicate accurately and effectively the technical data to facilitate timely procurement

o QUALITY ASSURANCE AND HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT MANAGER - coordination to ensure that construction is executed to specifications

o BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - for new projects

II) Key PRIMARY & SECONDARY Tasks/Responsibilities:

Your Primary tasks and responsibilities as Construction Discipline Engineer in the APS’s Engineering Department will cover the following:

• To review the Issued-For-Construction drawings and communicate with APS Design Discipline Engineers to rectify and errors.

• Coordination with APS Design Discipline Engineers by conveying accurate site-related or other information to them in a timely manner, in order to avoid abortive works.

• To review the Issued-For-Construction drawings and communicate with APS Construction Manager in respect of construction-ability, etc.

• To supervise the works by the Subcontractors to ensure compliance with the Technical Specifications and Project Quality Plan.

• To coordinate with APS Quality & HSE Manager with view to resolve / close-out any Non-Conformance-Report in the shortest time and most economical manner possible.

• To document and record all critical information during Plant Testing & Commissioning.

• Other general engineering tasks pertaining to engineered-to-purpose equipment and plant construction.

As APS is an EPC Contracting organization, your Secondary tasks and responsibilities shall cover the following areas as well:

• Providing Technical Support during bids / tenders for new projects

• Supporting the Project Manager by taking a leadership role in coordination with Owner’s (Discipline) Engineers during the Construction, Testing & Commissioning phases of the project
