NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER ENGINEER - Tarba Solutions


BASIC FUNCTION:



This position is primarily responsible for ensuring efficient operations and stability of the network. The Network Operations Center (NOC) engineer provides optimal performance while improving network security and timely customer issue resolution.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



The NOC engineer is in charge of providing engineering support for network connectivity issues, as well as working as an interface for carriers and other telecommunications engineers and technicians working on the network. They will be responsible for solving and preventing data outages. In addition, the NOC engineer will work with other system professionals to provide issue resolution in a prompt manner. The NOC engineer monitors network performance, configures and installs networking equipment as needed, and actively participates in network maintenance and upgrade projects for more efficient system support.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:



- Identify, categorize and respond to network problems.



- Interact with site contacts, carriers, vendors, and other network engineers.



- Manage changes, upgrades, improvements and integrations.



- Monitor and maintain network and associated software, including responding to tickets.
