Visa Writer - British Embassy

The Role The British Embassy in Abu Dhabi has a vacancy for a Visa Writer to work in the UK Visas and Immigration section. This is a key role within one of the largest UK visa sections in the world, which involves ensuring that the required security checks are carried out and that visas are issued correctly to visa applicants.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Undertake security and identity checks with regards to visa applications and maintain the accuracy of data.
• Monitor, collate and match received reports to applications.
• Manage the data correction processes.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor CCTV integrity checks.
• Follow accounting procedures in relation to visa vignettes.
• Queue, print, stick and emboss vignettes in the relevant passports, ensuring the visas are correctly endorsed and all security features are included.
• Take part in the Embassy’s emergency planning and any response to a crisis.
