MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To supervise project schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, progress status and reporting to ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Objectives

1. To supervise the collection, verification and integration of work scope and work breakdown structures for all disciplines and periodically review the representation of project scope in schedules and maintain historical schedule data.

2. Responsible for supervising the set-up, development, maintenance and monitoring of the detailed project execution schedules.

3. Responsible for the establishment of the Project Schedule Baseline and subsequent revisions by maintaining an audit trail of schedule development and incorporation of schedule trends.

4. Interrogating inter-discipline schedule requirements / restraints to ensure logical work sequences across all disciplines of the project and co-ordinate the plan formulation across the entire project.

5. To establish reporting tools, streamline on-project scheduling processes and procedures, chair progress meetings, analyze critical paths and restraints to determine effect of change or deviation from the plan, recommend workarounds to mitigate impacts, and maintain an awareness of the schedule risk profile.

6. Highlight potential problem areas using critical schedule impact assessment reporting.

7. Early identification and lagging of deviations from schedule as well as development of mitigation plans.

8. To interface with his reporting management and client counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks.
