-Evaluate processes for their effectiveness and optimization, and assess the adequacy of engineering equipment.

-Design, install and commission new equipment systems, monitor modifications and upgrades, and troubleshoot existing processes.

-Apply the principles of mass, momentum and heat transfer to process and equipment design, including conceptual, scheme and detail design.

-Prepare reports, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams and charts.

-Assume responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, for the health and safety.

-Work closely with operators to monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of the facilities.

-Ensure the processes work as per the specification of the Basis of Design;

-Ensure that all aspects of the plant operations meet specified regulations
