A leading Event company in Abu Dhabi has a vacancy for an Accountant. The company operates on a regional scale with events drawing crowds of over 10,000 people at a time including sporting and musical events.

This person will be providing assistance within the Finance Section by maintaining accounting records, performing ad hoc calculations, and assisting in accounting duties, as and when assigned whilst reporting to the VP of Finance.

You will be responsible for a number of tasks including posting invoices, checking vendor statements, preparing monthly and annual profit loss, cash flow and balance sheet statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports. You will also be expected to compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.

Other tasks may include providing Oracle training to new staff, coordinate with Project Managers by issuing open/closed purchase order lists, and handle the reconciliation of petty cash reimbursements on events.
