Senior Buyer - Doha International Consulting
Assist Procurement Manager in formulating and implementing event procurement strategies, policies, procedures and plans in line with the with overall business objectives of Company.
Work closely with the Procurement Manager, Event Manager and team members to identify procurementrequirements comprehensively and to identify and deliver a series of quick wins that will enhance profitability within the events portfolio.
Provides guidance to the end users in preparation of scope of work, bid evaluation criteria, cost estimateand price structure.
Facilitate and coordinate all activities pertaining to contracts including reviewing draft tender documents forcompliance with standards, placing tender advertisements, managing tender openings etc.
Liaise with the Procurement Manager, Finance department and internal Audit department with respect tocontract preparation, cost savings plan and risk mitigation strategies.
Develop a suitable contract database and protocol for ongoing supplier management including the ongoingcreation, rationalisation and management of ‘preferred suppliers’, along with a clear contractor overview highlighting key contracted information.
Create a supplier assessment plan to ensure effective supplier management for the events, with consistentassessment and development of service level agreements (SLA’s) .
Support company in its endeavor to monitor supplier’s performance in line with KPI’s, contractual obligationsand SLA’S.
Conduct negotiation with suppliers to ensure that value for money and excellent service levels aremaintained and optimised for the company events.
Share the contract or purchase order with designated suppliers for initiating the delivery of goods andservices as per agreement and ensure correct recording of requisitions and purchase orders as well as goods ordered and received.
Ensure goods received match the purchase order requirements in terms of pricing, quantity, and quality.
Submit invoices to the Finance and Accounts department and ensure appropriate payments andaccounting records are maintained with respect to suppliers.
Handle enquiries from suppliers on matters relating to procurement activities for the events, with thesupport of Procurement Manager.
Ensure all stock consumption is accurately documented and recorded for each function in an online stockcontrol system.
Provide regular reports to the Procurement Manager on an operational and financial performance ofprocurement activities in line with the procurement savings target set.
Maintains databank on frequently ordered materials & services for ready reference in the future
Review and implement improvement initiatives in order to increase the overall productivity and efficiency ofprocurement activities for events.
Conduct regular meetings with Procurement Manager to discuss and monitor workflows, deadlines anddeliverables.
Assists in data compilation for routine reports.
Perform any other duties assigned by the company Procurement Manager and / or Corporate SupportDirector.
