About Your Job:
As Regional HR Business Manager - Africa, you will be responsible for leading the HR strategy across the Africa region.
Reporting to the Doha-based Senior HR Manager - Business Support (International), you will manage a team of 8 direct reports and lead on matters regarding HR strategy and operations for a growing client population currently standing at 450 employees across 14 countries some with multiple stations - and in a region where we are still growing.
You will function as strategic HR Business Partner to the Regional Leadership team (Commercial, Ground Services, Cargo and Finance) and work with internal stakeholders to develop HR strategies and policies that support business growth and reinforce a culture of performance.
The role will require a person who is capable of working strategic while also undertake operational day to day work.
You will lead and provide strategic guidance in relation to organisational design and development, talent acquisition, learning and development, performance and reward, and employee engagement. You will contribute to the business strategy by helping identify, prioritise and build company capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes and support line management in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the department and business strategy.
The role will be placed in Doha, Qatar with some travel to the regional offices.
About You:
In order to successfully deliver the accountabilities associated with this position, we would expect you to have the following skills and qualifications:
* You will possess a minimum of 10 years of work experience within the HR sphere and will have operated as the HR Business Partner or HR Manager to an expanding, multinational business.
* You will be educated to degree level (Minimum a Bachelor in business).
* You will have a sound commercial and financial understanding.
* Previous experience in handling multi-site operations and distance management will be a significant advantage.
* You must be able to adopt a hands-on approach when handling tactical and operational issues which is a larger part of your job; you will be able to manage challenges as they arise and have the capability to pro-actively minimise surprises going forward.
* You must have strong influencing skills, strong leadership ability and an innovative mind set.
* You must have had international experience from overseeing several countries in your career. It will be beneficial if you already possesses experience in the African market though not a requirement.
* You must be fluent in both English and French language. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in these 2 languages, Arabic language skills will be a plus.
* It is furthermore important that you have the ability to communicate to all levels within the organisation.
