The Group CEO is this major European multinational is a pretty calm sort of guy. Quite plain talking, friendly and a comfortable sort of personality but we have never seen him more animated than he was when talking about this role.

It turns out that one of the team spotted a business opportunity in a remote geography that utilized the capabilities and reach of the company, but was a totally new and unique sector. The individual rationalized the opportunity, created a solid business plan, got the funding and made US 0m in 2 years.

Whilst not significant hugely to the group financially, the CEO believes it is extremely important from a culture and mentality perspective within this project driven company operating complex logistical, catering and services to companies and organisations in the remotest parts of Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The group operates in an ever changing business and geopolitical environment and there is a strong belief that alongside the “can do” culture there needs to exist an ability to react to change and react to opportunity, to innovate and to serve their clients where other can’t/won’t because “we don’t do that”.

This extremely exiting role is within a new “New Business Innovation” body who are specifically non core to the business and are purely focused on becoming the “intra-preneurs” of the group.

The individuals will integrate very closely with core business operations to understand the group capabilities, they will integrate very closely with the business development team to understand clients needs, activities and mentalities, and they will roam the remote and often stunning geographies the group operates in making contacts, generating ideas and investigating new business opportunities. The individuals will then quickly deliver a robust business plan, receive funding and work hard to bring the concept to successful fruition.

This is an extremely exciting and rare opportunity that will no doubt receive a great deal of interest. Sadly as a result I expect another soul destroying inundation of CVs that don’t match the requirements below
