General Manager - Jordan - Brinks
Key Responsibilities
The General Manager of Jordan provides the strategic vision, planning, and operational leadership to ensure alignment with the corporate and country’s strategic goals. He/she is accountable for maximizing shareholder returns through the profitable growth and safe and secure operation of the Company in Jordan. The GM is the principle decision maker in regards to profit and loss, best practices, management staffing, and problem resolution in the country.
Lead, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of the Jordan operation efficiently.• Develop, execute, and maintain best practices and technology that creates an environment that encourages excellence and creativity, has efficient and effective work processes, and ensures the consistent delivery of high quality services.• Ensure adequate human, financial, technical, and other resources are made available to meet business needs.• Oversee compliance with health and safety objectives.• Ensure fiscal and legal compliance with applicable laws and statutes. • Be actively involved with developing, engineering, and promoting end-to-end risk solutions.• Participate in frequent branch visits and audits to remain connected with operations and to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.• Develop and maintain senior level relationships with key customers, relevant third parties, and opinion leaders.
Maximize and expand the performance of core and new businesses to increase profitability.• Leverage market research to identify current and future trends and opportunities for growth and expansion.• Develop and execute strategies, policies, and operational/commercial/marketing plans that support the successful execution of the business strategy and positions Brink’s as the global leader in secure solutions.• Maximize economic value added through continued growth in profitable sales within a competitive price structure and through effective cost controls.
Effectively lead and mentor.• Develop a Country Team with the skills and tactics to achieve business results. Provide direction, motivation, and support to ensure objectives are met and desired outcomes are achieved. • Communicate a compelling vision, which creates a focus and shared sense of purpose and value for all employees.• Ensure all employees are properly trained to perform their duties and are held accountable for meeting or failing to meet goals and maintain standards.• Assess the competence and performance levels of key management employees and ensure that necessary succession is in place for critical positions.
