-Develop departmental strategies and objectives aligned with divisional strategies, organizational goals and business plans. Provide overall direction and guidance to QA/QC personnel (including those at construction sites) in their day-to-day operational activities.

-Prepare annual budget for QA / QC department.

-Supervise and monitor the performance of all QA/QC Departments’ personnel, evaluate the results and identify corrective / preventive actions and ensure that deficiencies are timely supplied and agreed customer/client quality requirements are adequately met; identify staff development and training needs and ensure training is provided to the division’s QA/QC personnel

-Coordinate with customers/clients, attend technical meetings related to QA/QC systems and requirements, and ensure that customer/client specifications for quality of the division’s products and services are adequately met.

-Plan and ensure total effectiveness of Quality system audits. Administer proper changes and modifications, and ensure total compliance with the ISO requirements.

-Review / Comment on Contract specifications from the point of QA/QC compliance, and to verify technical requirements and quality aspects; assess vendors and subcontractors’ capability for compliance with quality specifications

-Lead Corrective / Preventive action process.

-Participate in internal meetings.

-Prepare monthly reports and submit for management for their review / action.
